About

Louise Paradis is a professor in the Design graphique et expériences visuelles program at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) since 2024. Her research focuses on visual culture as well as the history of graphic design and typography. She pays particular attention to sociopolitical, economic, and cultural contexts, as well as to the impact of technologies, migrations, and designers’ relationships on their work. In parallel, she pursues a research-creation practice through which she explores contemporary issues by engaging with the languages and media of visual communication.
